About Us
Set in the historic 1880s Wortendyke train station, the Wortendyke Studio was established in 1964 as a studio gallery. It continues to be a place to come and relax, unwind, forget about your busy life and explore your creativity.
Our mission is to teach adults and children ceramics and other forms of art by inspiring and developing individual artistic talents to their fullest potential.
The Wortendyke Studio offers pottery classes from beginner to advanced, as well as various events and workshops in other art media. The Studio also hosts private parties for any occasion!

MEET OUR owner

heidi frank
Heidi has been creating pottery as a hobby since her early 20s, but has only become full-time since October 2017 when she became the proud owner of the Wortendyke Studio.

Her inspirations come from her love of whimsy - where Alice and the Mad Hatter meet Dr. Seuss and the Cat in the Hat - as well as the clean lines and geometric shapes of mid-century modern, and the organic, sensual movements of sea creatures and nature. Her teapots are a dedication to her mom, but she enjoys experimenting with a variety of hand-built forms, and occasionally wheel-thrown pieces with decorative shapes and designs added to them.
